The Cefn Gwlad App
Bio-security app for improving TB risk for cattle. This is a beta test version of the app intended to help develop the concept.
This app contains one questionaire which is used to capture data about a herd's TB risk. Each question has an associated risk score.
Each question and answer has an associated advice page, explaining what can be done to ameliorate the identified risk.
Once the questions have been completed, the scores can be displayed in order with the factors leading to the highest risk highlighted.
This a farmer or vet will be able to see what are the most important actions that will lead to the best improvements for a particular herd.
The results captured by this app can also be displayin in a bar chart, comparing the captured results with regional and national results.
The ability to see how a particular farm compares with others, and what steps can be taken to improve are strong motivating factors towards better practice.
Uploading data
In this sample app, the captured data are only held and displayed locally on the users phone. However, the data can be uploaded to a server for collection and analysis.
Uploaded data can be made available to relevant agencies, subject to data protection rules and privacy policies. Business rules implemented on the server would control who could see which data.

Adding other Questionaires
This version of the app contains only a single questionaire, but additional questionaires for other diseases and issues can be added.
